I always loved the look of the Typhoon, with the tower further back. Makes it look like the enormous E-Type of submarines because of its loooooong nose.

Unless we are replacing the nuclear plant with something else... No. That thing irradiated EVERYONE onboard, there are hospitals in russia where submariners go to die from radiation poisoning. Also, it's only around as a test bed due to be scrapped right now anyways.... Lets get that new french one they have coming out soon... sounds much safer.

Across the entire service life. The Russians had something like 800 active nuclear submarines at one point, not a lot was given toward safety. Not much is told about the hospitals, but there is an interesting documentary on netflix about what they are doing with the old reactors.
